- To verify that a message is signed, you first need to download the appropriate software.
- For Windows users, we recommend Gpg4win. Use GPG Suite for macOS; Kleopatra is the gold standard for Linux.
- After downloading the software, save the market's PGP key as an .asc file. You can then import this key into your PGP manager.
- To verify, save the signed message into a plain text file. Select "Decrypt/Verify" in your PGP manager and import that file.
- The line spacing in both the key file and the message file must be exact to avoid errors.
- When imported correctly, the software will confirm the authenticity of the message and its signature.
We recommend cross-referencing PGP keys on the Dread forum
