Police state that officers travelled overseas to escort him back following his arrest by German authorities in February. The charges against him, approved in October 2025, include multiple counts related to drug trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and several firearms-related offences.
Origins of the Investigation
The investigation reportedly began in December 2022, when law enforcement became aware of a group reportedly using the dark web, cryptocurrency transactions, and national mail services to facilitate the sale and shipment of drugs. Authorities claim that counterfeit pills containing fentanyl were among the substances distributed.
In February 2024, a search warrant executed at a residence in British Columbia’s Lower Mainland led to the seizure of various items. Police state these included controlled substances such as fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine, along with firearms, ammunition, fraudulent identification documents, and cash. Second Suspect Still Missing

Authorities note that Thompson was reported missing shortly after, with his last known sighting in Victoria’s Rockland neighbourhood in September 2025.
