BeeFreeLSD, a prominent LSD vendor who operated on multiple darknet markets as well as his own vendor shop, has disappeared, raising suspicions within the darknet community. Since then, numerous claims have surfaced on Dread, with members associated with the store coming forward to express their concerns.
About BeeFreeLSD
Having been around for a couple of years, BeeFreeLSD rose to become one of the more trusted LSD vendors on the darknet. With just under 500 subscribers on the Dread forum, the vendor had thousands of satisfied customers and a strong reputation within the space. BeeFreeLSD was often praised for offering high-quality products.
The Disappearance
The first sign of major issues arose 2 weeks ago when an administrator associated with the BeeFreeLSD shop made a post on Dread from his now-deleted account, raising concerns. In the post, the administrator explained that he had consistent daily contact with the main operator of BeeFreeLSD, providing details of all new orders. The post went on to mention that despite multiple attempts to contact the operator as usual, there had been no response, which was highly abnormal.
Around the same time, reports began surfacing from Australia about a massive LSD-related seizure worth roughly $15 million. These reports claimed that the seizure was part of a joint operation conducted by both Australian and US authorities. Investigations were said to have been ongoing for years, dating back to when the BeeFreeLSD operator used to ship other substances like MDMA via mail.
Community Responds
TribeSeuss, another prominent psychedelic vendor, commented on the situation in a post on Dread. Dr_Seuss stated that something is seriously wrong with BeeFreeLSD, and that the report from Australia is likely linked to the situation. He went on to explain that, to his understanding, the issue arose because BeeFreeLSD used express international shipping, which is extremely difficult to obtain anonymously and tends to attract a lot of attention. TribeSeuss added, "This is precisely why we have refused to send out tracked mail. I hope other AU vendors can take note of this and follow suit."
Meanwhile, multiple users with active orders from the likely arrested vendor took to the forum to express concerns about their security and to ask if any precautions needed to be taken.
Taking Precautions
The Dread community wasted no time taking precautions once the news started being confirmed, or at least once the signs of something being seriously wrong became more concrete. The vendor’s subdread was locked down. PGPfreaks, a darknet PGP key authority/databse, revoked the vendor's PGP key from their database. Users were also warned not to place any further orders from the BeeFreeLSD vendor shop.
Suspiciously, the vendor's shop remains fully accessible. While this is highly suspicious, it's unclear why it remains operational. It could be a honeypot now controlled by authorities, or it could simply mean that the authorities arrested the vendor without gaining access to the store’s digital infrastructure. Either way, placing an order on that shop is a very bad idea.
Conclusion
BeeFreeLSD appears to be the latest vendor to have been caught by authorities. At the time of writing, there are no official reports directly naming BeeFreeLSD as the suspect. Despite the situation beginning about two weeks ago, it is still ongoing. As the vendor’s shop remains active, it must be treated as a honeypot.
