Three Swedish nationals linked to the infamous Archetyp market have been arrested by authorities in Thailand following an international sting operation. The operation, called “Pandora,” was carried out by Thailand’s Central Investigation Bureau and involved raids at multiple locations, ultimately resulting in the three arrests.
The Rise and Fall of Archetyp
First launched in mid-2020, Archetyp quickly rose to prominence, becoming one of the largest darknet markets. At its peak, the market amassed more than 600,000 users and thousands of listings. The market was seized by German authorities in 2025 during an operation titled “DeepSentinel.” During that operation an administrator located in Spain was also arrested, along with many other suspects.
The Latest Arrests
The arrests follow an international investigation that required assistance from Thai authorities. Reports suggest that Europol, Eurojust, along with several national agencies from the EU, requested help from Thai officials after tracking the suspects to Bangkok. The three suspects — Robert Mikael Lind, Daniel Lee, and John Arya Ghavamzadeh, aged between 33 and 47, are currently being held while under investigation and may face extradition.
Authorities arrested the suspects during raids at two separate rented locations. The men are accused not only of managing the Archetyp market but also Mupparna.net, another prominent drug market. Investigators claim the group rented luxury villas with pools, from which they managed the websites. Police report that 119 items were seized during the raids, including computers, phones, documents, and credit cards.
More to Come
Not much more is known at this time, especially regarding the suspects’ specific roles in the Archetyp market. European authorities have not released many details so far, with most of the available information coming from Thailand. The story is expected to develop further as investigations continue.
